What is Matcha?

matcha green tea powder
Matcha is a special kind of green tea that is powdered and grown in Japan's hills.

Farmers cover their plants with bamboo mats a few weeks before harvesting in order to progressively minimize the amount of sunshine the plants receive. The method gives the plants their stunning green color by increasing their production of chlorophyll, one of the strongest antioxidants in the world! The tea's distinct and flavorful taste is achieved by stone-grinding the harvested tea leaves into a fine powder, a process that is mandatory.

Matcha is the premium grade tea of the Japanese people.

Interesting history with Samurais…

The powder originally was only available to royalty and Samurais, because it was so expensive to produce. Samurais would drink the tea for its health benefits and ability to focus during combat.

Now it is a common staple in the Japanese diet (one of the healthiest cultures in the world).

1. Natural Weight Loss

It's challenging to lose weight, particularly if your metabolism isn't naturally quick.

According to a research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the body's rate of calorie burning, or thermogenesis, rose with the use of green tea powder, rising from 8–10% to 35–43% of daily energy expenditure.

You can lose weight more quickly by increasing your metabolism with matcha green tea powder.

2. Naturally Detoxifies the Body

Man-made toxins such as heavy metals, dioxins, and hormone disrupters are stored in the body from the preservatives in our diets.

The shading process of matcha makes it rich in the antioxidant, chlorophyll. This nutrient helps safely cleanse and eliminate these harmful chemicals and heavy metals in the body.

3. Energy Without Jitters

While caffeine has many positive effects, excessive amounts can occasionally make us jittery and unsteady.

The benefit of matcha lies in its amino acid content, specifically in L-Theanine, which helps counterbalance the effects of caffeine. This amino acid has a reputation for promoting serenity without making you feel sluggish or sleepy.

4. Cancer-Fighting Antioxidants

Premature aging is largely caused by the accumulation of free radicals. Numerous factors contribute to it, such as stress and food.

The antioxidant content of matcha, which neutralizes free radicals, is:
  • 6.2 times that of Goji Berries
  • 7 times that of Dark Chocolate
  • 17 times that of Wild Blueberries
  • 60.5 times that of Spinach

5. Boosts Memory and Concentration

Beta waves are released by stress and cause agitation and lack of focus.

Compared to regular green tea, matcha has five times more L-theanine. Additionally, it has been demonstrated that this amino acid increases alpha waves in the brain, which improve focus.

Additionally demonstrated to lessen stress and even lower blood pressure are alpha waves.

6. Makes Exercise More Effective

Exercising is difficult, but matcha makes it better in 2 ways.

1. Studies have demonstrated that exercising immediately after drinking matcha green tea resulted in 25% more fat burning during exercise!
2. Matcha will give you more focus and concentration, so you’ll be able to push yourself harder.

7. Strengthens the Immune System

The daily emergence of increasingly potent kinds of viruses and bacteria has further weakened our immune systems.

Matcha green tea will help you fight back. Because of its crazy high antioxidant levels and catechins, the more you have, the more equipped your body will be to fight off infections and diseases.

Matcha will help improve your immune system, so your body will get sick less often.

8. Tastes GREAT

Matcha has a distinct, rich flavor that begins with an astringent, vegetal flavor and ends with a lingering sweetness that is attributed to chlorophyll and amino acids.

The experience is as intense as your first time tasting red wine or dark chocolate.

The taste of matcha is mellowed when added as an ingredient. It infuses your product with the taste and hue of green tea, whether it's a smoothie, latte, savory sauce, or pastry!

9. Improves Skin Health

By lowering inflammation and free radicals that hasten skin aging, the antioxidants that make green tea protective—such as epigallocatechin gallate, or EGCG—may also promote skin health.

10. Anti-Aging Properties

The inhabitants of Okinawa, Japan, are reputed to having the longest lifespans. Matcha green tea drinking on a regular basis has been linked in part to the lifespan of the Okinawan people.

The most well-liked green tea in Japan is matcha, which is quickly becoming increasingly well-known worldwide due to its anti-aging, anti-oxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties.

With its numerous anti-aging benefits, matcha will keep you feeling and looking younger!

Matcha cafés are sprouting up all around the world, but particularly in the United States. A cup of matcha at these cafes might set you back as much as $4! Fortunately, it's not expensive to brew matcha at home.

The Considerations For Matcha Green Tea

Reviews: We take the time to read through and comprehend both legitimate and fraudulent product reviews. We ignore reviews that are phony or paid for and only evaluate reviews that are verifiable and truthful from actual customers. We also consider the fact that consumers are unlikely to want to interact with a brand that feels compelled to purchase or provide incentives for evaluations. We ONLY take into account sincere, accurate reviews!

Price: The prices of the products have been compared thoroughly to make sure you get the most value from a purchase.

Brand Reputation: Stable and consistent brands are always rated more highly than others.

Quality: Quality might be a major consideration when purchasing matcha green tea powder. The tea leaves you desire are bright green in color and produced in a safe atmosphere. By doing this, the leaves are guaranteed to have the highest level of chlorophyll and nutrients.

Additional Bonuses for Buying:We thought that would be important to you as well. Some brands, like "matcha Recipes," provide bonuses for purchasing their brand of matcha.

If you're really interested, we also urge you to try out a few. Observe how they taste and how they affect your body.

    1. Kelly,
I personally use 1 teaspoon per 1 whole mug of hot water. I either drink it plain like that or with a little unsweetened coconut milk in it. It’s also great as a latte with 2/3 warm milk to 1/3 cup water. You’ll want to mix it in with hot water before adding the warm milk. You can drink up to 2 teaspoons per day. In the afternoon, I make a cold version of the tea with lime juice in it. It tastes awesome and provides an extra boost of Vitamin C! I highly recommend it! Hope that helps 🙂
